The President of the Republic of Kenya H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta on 6th August, 2022 explained to his backyard residents that they have been politically hoaxed to turn against him.
In the final campaign held in the Mountain region, the Agikuyu kingpin shed light as to why he is adamant in supporting former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his presidential bid.
Without pointing out specific names, the president sympathized with his Central Kenya people, who were persuaded by some few politicians to turn against him and jubilee, yet he is their chieftain.
My people in Mt Kenya were duped to believe that my plan to bring the one man one shilling rule was about me. They were told to hate me but now I will be hanging out with my grandkids while the problem remains unresolved.
Uhuru Kenyatta said.Uhuru chastised that the Mt Kenya residents’ foolishness may cost them immensely and he may not be able to help them.
Uhuru made his remarks from 6.00pm to 8.00pm on Saturday, in an interview with all Kikuyu media stations.

The outgoing commander in chief of the Defense forces remarked that he always put the interests of the country ahead of his own since 2013, when he first became president.
This comes after, according to The Star, opinion polls showed that DP Ruto enjoyed the support of more than 50% of the Central region vote basket.
According to IEBC, the MT Kenya Region enjoys the highest number of registered voters, standing at a staggering 5.7 million, while the Rift valley region comes in second with 5.3 million voters.
Ruto, having confidence in his Rift Valley residents, has been focusing his energy in wooing the mountain people to elect him as the 5th president Kenya. It is for this reason that Uhuru has been keen on campaigning for his preferred candidate, Raila Odinga and his (Odinga) running mate Martha Karua.
Some of the counties from the Mt Kenya region with high voter numbers include Kiambu with 1,275,008 voters, Meru (772,139), Nyandarua (361,165), Kirinyaga (376,001), Laikipia (263,012), Tharaka-Nithi (231,932) Murang’a (620,929), Nyeri (481,632) and Embu (334,302).
