Raila And Martha Affirm That Victory Is Theirs, At KICC

The War Is Not Over Until Azimio Says So.

Raila Odinga and his Azimio One Kenya Alliance held a meeting with elected leaders that was meant to strategize their way forward as Kenyan leaders.

Following this, Raila held a press briefing where he explained the steps that would be taken by the bandwagon is relation to their disregard for the election outcome.

“Basically it was a familiarisation meeting and we also talked about a way forward. We have given them a brief of where we are in regards to the presidential elections and they have approved the steps that we decided to take as Azimio coalition,” said Raila.

Raila then introduced his chief minister Kalonzo Musyoka who stated that there are ongoing consultations and that the cocussing will continue, meaning that other days will be set up to hold more meetings.

Kalonzo Musyoka proceeded to invite Raila’s running mate Martha Karua who stated —in regards to the presidential race —that the figures show that victory is theirs. She affirmed that it is coming home, the presidency.



In regards to the national assemby, Martha said that the parliament numbers show that they dominated the elections, and in the senate, the competitors are leading by one.

“Our figures show that we command the national assemby. Just like I said the last time. The senate, our competitors are up by one but the national assemby we command. We therefore…must look and plan how we are going to execute our mandate,” said Karua.

“On the matter of the election, ours is victory deferred but it’s coming home, and that’s the message to everyone. As we explore all legal and constitutional avenues, let everybody know that victory is coming home.”

The team refused to take questions from the fourth estate but in a sense gave a summary of the elected leaders cocuss that was held in KICC.
