Kimilili MP aspirant Didmus Barasa is in hot judicial soup after he allegedly shot his political nemesis’ aide, Brian Olunga.
In a report by verified media, the police are in hot pursuit of the murder suspect who fled after the rifle fiasco.
Mr. Khaemba was seeking to unseat Didmus Barasa from the lawmaker position in August 9th election period. The Kimilili MP hopeful was vying for the highly contested seat via the DAP-K ticket (Democratic Action Party of Kenya). He reportedly went to Chebukwabi polling station at around 6pm to witness counting of the votes.

On arrival, he met the incumbent legislator of the polling station and therefore decided to leave hardly a few minutes after arrival.
Mr. Khaemba headed towards his own car and according to reports, the assailant followed him with four men, seeking to stop him from getting into the automobile. This is according to a police report provided to the media.

Joshua Nasokho, attempted to drive off with the aspiring MP and it was then that Didmus Barasa, the murder suspect, drew his gun and shot at Mr. Khaemba’s aide, Brian Olunga, who bled profusely and was rushed to hospital a few minutes later.
The bullet was aimed at his forehead and his chances of survival were very low. The man soon passed on.
“Didmus Barasa withdrew a pistol and aimed at Mr Khaemba’s aide namely Brian Olunga and shot him on the forehead where he profusely bled,” read the police report.
He was rushed to Kimilili Sub-County Hospital where he succumbed while undergoing treatment. Scene visited by the police accompanied by Scenes of Crime Personnel from Bungoma County, where the scene was processed and documented.

The diseased, at the time of this publication, is still at the hospital awaiting transfer to the Delight Funeral Home.
